What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric medicine is a non-invasive procedure often used to treat chronic non-healing wounds. During hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the patient is placed in a chamber containing 100% oxygen at pressures of more than one atmosphere. Hyperbaric treatments typically last about two hours. Most patients will feel no differently than they would at home in their beds. They can watch TV or simply take a nap.

The Care We Provide

Why Wound Care?

Chronic wounds that take longer than four weeks to improve or heal can lead to other health complications. Wound care focuses on creating the optimal conditions for your wounds to heal by cleaning the wound, removing any dead tissue (debridement), and using dressings to allow the wound to stay moist. This also includes maintaining blood flow to the area and providing oxygen and nutrients. Wound care will look different for everyone based on the type and severity of the wound, as well as your medical history and health factors.
